Jenis Musik yang paling popular di Indonesia - Musik adalah salah satu bagian terpenting dalam kehidupan dengan musik kita dapat menyampaikan intuisi perasaan dalam diri, meskipun fungsi utama adalah sebagai penghibur musik juga sebagai alat perlengkapan suatu adat di daerah tertentu,berikut saya akan membahas  7 jenis musik yang paling popular di Indonesia.

• POP adalah sebuah genre musik dari musik populer yang berasal dalam bentuk modern pada 1950-an, yang berasal dari rock and roll. Istilah musik populer dan musik pop sering digunakan secara bergantian, meskipun yang pertama adalah deskripsi musik yang populer (dan dapat termasuk gaya apapun), sedangkan yang terakhir adalah genre tertentu yang mengandung kualitas daya tarik massa.

Sebagai genre, musik pop sangat eklektik, sering meminjam elemen dari gaya-gaya lain termasuk urban,dance, rock, latin dan country. Musik pop umumnya dianggap sebagai sebuah genre yang komersial dicatat dan keinginan untuk memiliki daya tarik audiens massa.

• ROCK adalah gen re musik populer yang mulai diketahui secara umum pada pertengahan tahun '50-an. Akarnya berasal dari rhythm and blues, musik country dari tahun '40 dan '50-an serta berbagai pengaruh lainnya. Selanjutnya, musik rock juga mengambil gaya dari berbagai musik lainnya, termasuk musik rakyat (folk music), jazz dan musik klasik.

• JAZZ dalah aliran musik yang berasal dari Amerika Serikat pada awal abad ke-20 dengan akar-akar dari musik Afrika dan Eropa. Musik jazz banyak menggunakan gitar, trombon, piano,trompet, dan saksofon. Elemen penting dalam jazz adalah blue notes, improvisasi, polyrhythms, sinkopasi, dan shuffle note.

• DANGDUT Dangdut merupakan salah satu dari genre senimusik Indonesia yang mengandung unsur-unsur musik Hindustan atau India klasik, Melayu, dan Arab. Bentuk musik ini berakar awal dasar dari Qasidahyang terbawa oleh Agama Islam yang masuk Nusantara tahun 635 - 1600 dan Gambus yang dibawa oleh migrasi orang Arab tahun 1870 - sesudah 1888, kemudian menjelma sebagai Musik Gambus tahun 1930 oleh orang Arab-Indonesia bernama Syech Albar, selanjutnya menjelma sebagai Musik Melayu Deli pada tahun 1940 oleh Husein Bawafie, dan tahun 1950 pengaruh musik Amerika Latin serta tahun 1958 dipengaruhi Musik India melalui film Bollywood oleh Ellya Khadam dengan lagu Boneka India, dan terakhir lahir sebagai Dangdut tahun 1968 dengan tokoh utama Rhoma Irama. Dalam evolusi menuju bentuk kontemporer sekarang masuk pengaruh unsur-unsur musik India (terutama dari penggunaan tabla) dan Arab (pada cengkok dan harmonisasi). • REGGAE adalah suatu aliran musik yang awalnya dikembangkan di Jamaika pada akhir era 60-an. Sekalipun kerap digunakan secara luas untuk menyebut hampir segala jenis musik Jamaika, istilah reggae lebih tepatnya merujuk pada gaya musik khusus yang muncul mengikuti perkembangan ska dan rocksteady. Reggae berbasis pada gaya ritmis yang bercirikan aksen pada off-beat atau sinkopasi, yang disebut sebagai skank. Pada umumnya reggae memiliki tempo lebih lambat daripada ska maupun rocksteady. • BLUES adalah nama yang diberikan untuk kedua bentuk musik dan genre musik yang diciptakan terutama dalam Masyarakat Afrika-Amerika di Deep South Amerika Serikat pada akhir abad ke-19 dari lagu rohani , lagu kerja , hollers lapangan , teriakan, dan narasi sederhana berirama balada . Hip Hop merupakan perpaduan yang sangat dinamis antara elemen-elemen yang terdiri dari MCing (lebih dikenal rapping), DJing, Breakdance, dan Graffiti.
